Remember how they said the upcoming war in Venezuela was about drugs, and then they seized an oil tanker?

More wag the dog.

We deployed Growlers to the region too.

A lot of new signs pointing towards escalation.

James Garfield was murdered by a man who thought he deserved a government job. Chester Arthur—once a machine politician—responded by helping create civil service reform.

Today’s GOP wants to undo that progress and return to patronage politics.

Some say it is illegal to arrest a sitting president. It is not. The president is subject to the law like everyone. That none have been arrested in the U.S. is only a policy internal to the DOJ based on the need for continuity of government operations--a policy that never imagined a criminal POTUS.

It's good—very good, and very important—that district courts keep issuing these 100-page rulings upholding the law. It must be incredibly dispiriting to see them overturned in a two-page, lawless, unsigned order, but please, keep them coming. They expose SCOTUS' corruption like nothing else.

SCOTUS just handed Texas a license to racially rig its elections. They know this map silences Black and Latino voters; that’s the point. This is the Supreme Court putting its thumb on the scale for Republican power and calling it democracy.
Corrupt.
We need a Dem majority to impeach them.

Trump's approval ratings are tanking. He's flailing on the economy. Even Republicans in Congress are beginning to revolt against him. He's not all powerful.

A tyrant can exercise tyranny only insofar as the objects of his tyranny continue to allow it. Remember this.

It's great that reporting on the double tap has spotlighted the abject criminality of this Administration.

But don't forget: Venezuela is not waging war on America or Americans, and the men killed were not combatants.

The first strike was every bit as illegal as the second.

We're not "at war". I'd argue it's not a "war crime". It's murder. Like ICE isn't "deporting" people. They're kidnapping them.
