Here is a non-exhaustive list of books, sites, and courses I recommend for those new to digital accessibility or those already in the field who seek to continue their education. These are the resources I constantly use to further my understanding and knowledge

The improv theater where I'm on one of the house teams is having a benefit show for Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition (CIRC) in March. I created the poster for it. Sometimes I surprise myself..

My team is celebrating Denver's Puerto Rican community performing at Circo Flamboyán, a 90-minute BIPOC and queer vaudeville-style variety show celebrating arts, community, and culture. We will be in the February 20th show but there are three other dates that are packed with performers and artists.

If you started your professional career working at larger or prestige tech companies when the industry was more stable you need to start treating these companies and field like any other. You can't get comfortable. No company is a family. As someone with a dysfunctional bio one that's not a positive

My book, Accessibility For Everyone, is now free and online as a website.

The book was first published by A Book Apart in 2017 but it holds up! It covers web accessibility for designers, developers, content folks, and really everyone who works in tech.

I just wrapped directing my first short film. Before I start on editing I'm gonna sleep for at least the next 20 hours.

I got rid of my tiktok account a few months back and the only thing I miss is discovering new independent bands and artists. Overall I've scaled down my social media usage to pre-2019 levels. Given the state of the world and current events has allowed me to keep knowledgeable without extra anxiety.

A year of paying $1100 out of pocket every 90 days, insurance finally decided to cover my medication so now I only have to pay $20 every 110 days. Too bad this insurance is part of my severance so in a few months i will have to start paying $1000 a month or move to a cheaper plan that won't cover

Showing off my Photoshop skills with the bug ticket ad I created for my improv team's show. The title is 'Test in Production' because we are using the app I built for audience participation and streamlined show tech for the first time. I'm proud of the work I did though it caused me to cry a lot.

I'm no longer working with recruiting agencies unless they only source for one company. I've had a few reach out to and after me having to negotiate a non low ball pay rate, they submit me for a role, i've interviewed and then crickets. Obviously I didn't get the position and you could tell me that.

One of the biggest reasons why return to office is happening after trying to justify real estate are executives not wanting to be home with their families. In quite a few meetings between 2020-2024 where that was just said out loud.

Peter Finch was the first person to win an Oscar posthumously for his performance as Howard Beale in Network (1976). The film's plot takes place during the 1970s recession but its themes and emotions make it as relevant today as it was then. Finch's "Mad as Hell" monologue is iconic and timeless.

I've learned a lot about Greenland and its native culture over the years due to this creator. So much so I put it on my list when I travel later this year or next. I will seriously crash out if anything happens to her and her family.

My name is Qupanuk (Q), I am born and raised in Greenland. Since I have traveled all over the world I have realized that people around the world don’t know much about Greenland. So, here are some vide...

Current events confirm that the movies Independence Day and War of the Worlds could never happen in real life, but Starship Troopers definitely has an excellent chance to come to fruition.

Seen articles about OneCourt (translate live gameplay data into trackable vibrations & audio commentary for blind and low vision) in other cities, cool to see that Denver Nuggets bring it to the Ball Arena. Also means if OneCourt adapts its tech for hockey it will be easy for the Avs to utilize it.
'There is so much more to life than only seeing': Blind Nuggets fan feels the game for the first time
The Denver Nuggets' new tactile broadcast initiative lets blind fans experience live games through vibrations, transforming accessibility and fan engagement.

Around every 6 months I reshare this post that is definitely not about a certain U.S. political party when significant events and issues take place and their response.
Them: So much bad stuff is happening!
Us: You need to do something!
Them: Yeah!
Us: What are you going to do?
Them: 🤷🏾‍♀️
Us: Isn't your job stopping bad stuff?
Them: Maybe a sign that says "Stop bad things!" will help?
Us: They have tanks.
Them: I'll add, "NOW" with two more exclamation points.

I'm shooting my first ever short film for a film festival in May. Now I'm trying to remember everything from the few photography and filmmaking courses I took years ago. My cat is highly annoyed as I practice camera movement on her.
