For diversity to science to foreign policy, Trump has moved aggressively to reopen long-settled issues and dismantle long-established institutions. At times, it seems like he's trying to repeal much of the 20th century. www.nytimes.com/2025/07/13/u...

Modern day concentration camps. Next the US population will be sewing logos on clothing to indicate national / ethnic origin.

Final vote. 50-50. VP breaks the tie.

One single GOP Senator could have stopped this abomination. Saved millions of parents from watching their child go hungry. Saved the lives destroyed when Medicaid disappears.

They will all live forever with the horror of this bill.

Shame on you Lisa Murkowski-the carve outs for Alaska that whipped your vote should have been available for all the other states, better yet, the need for them shouldn't have been necessary. You helped Alaska and screwed the nation.

Now all those who voted for trump and his congressional acolytes will see who this government is for. We will be a poorer, sicker and more hateful nation. The amendments added to this bill make it one of the worst bills to hit the floor; the Alaska carve outs for Murkowski's vote, case in point.

Funny how all the Republicans who buck trump and are running for reelection just up and quit rather than fight to try to get reelected. Add Tillis to the list of politicians who lack the intestinal fortitude to stand up to the cult and for democracy.

Didn't trump and his republican party run on state's rights? I guess it is only when the state and their policies suit them.

Unfortunately Senator Fetterman lost some of his cognitive abilities when he had his most recent medical event.

The "Roberts Court" will forever be know as a major participant in the destruction of the United States of America.

Forget rural hospitals and emergency rooms, forget urban hospitals in low income areas, forget not for profits who serve the disabled population, forget nursing homes and rural rehab centers, but free health care for congress will continue to exist.

Let's face it Fox News under Roger Ailes created and propitiates this mess each and every day with their reporting, or lack there of.

They all speak out before they retire after being threatened by trump. Why doesn't any one see if a primary challenge will defeat them-what do they have to lose?
June 30, 2025 at 8:29 PM
When did masks become a uniform regulation for law enforcement- when trump and his assistant chief of staff miller created a US Gestapo state. Each one of these incidents only point to a very painful direction this nation as a whole is taking.
June 30, 2025 at 8:24 PM
Health care in the US, as we know it, will forever be changed by trump and the Republican led Senate and House. If you read the bill and the cuts line by line you can only be disgusted with what is being proposed. Notice no one took away or limited the money for Congress' health care plan.
June 30, 2025 at 8:15 PM
51 % of the population knew what they were getting when they voted for trump, they did not know about who he would appoint as cabinet members and advisors. However, the Senators knew who these people were and they appointed them thus the same. The problem isn't just trump!
June 30, 2025 at 8:08 PM
16 million people will be going. to emergency rooms for their immediate health care-unfortunately medicaid cuts will eliminate the number of hospitals that will remain opened.
June 30, 2025 at 8:04 PM
There is no way any independent or democrat amendment will be added to this bill with Republicans in control. It is time for you and other like minded representatives to push third party candidates for both houses of Congress. Only then will we be able to have meaningful bills.
June 30, 2025 at 8:00 PM
Look at the line by line accounting of this bill and if you have any respect for your fellow citizens then you will only be sickened by what is being proposed in this bill and the senate's amendments.
June 30, 2025 at 7:50 PM
You can predict the decision already-the "donor class" will saturate the Republican Party coffers. It will definitely be time for a third party if this decision goes as we all expect.
June 30, 2025 at 7:45 PM
Agreed, but are we sure that all of these "agents" are federal employees? How many of these raids are performed by vigilantes posing as ICE? Wouldn't be surprised if Homeland Security hired the Proud Boys as subcontractors.
June 24, 2025 at 8:10 PM
I worked for a" Blue state" agency who serviced the developmentally disabled population. The predominate funding for that massive agency was Medicaid. Reductions to medicaid means reduction in services for the people with the most need. Shame on you!
