The WR injury report from today's practice:

- Terry McLaurin was out there, but not in pads and working off to the side.

- Noah Brown was in pads and going through drills.

- Did not see Deebo Samuel Sr. (FWIW: He was a DNP for two days last week with a heel injury, then returned and played.)

The Wizards increased 34 of the 41 pricing tiers for season tickets that carried over from last season. The jumps come as the team is in an aggressive rebuild.

Some fans are discontent with what they deem an imbalance between the on-court play and how it’s priced.

“They’re f---ing terrible."
With season ticket prices up and fortunes down, some Wizards fans tap out
As Washington’s rebuild carries on, even the most loyal supporters are experiencing sticker shock ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season.

As much as Jayden Daniels and Caleb Williams will be compared, what's just as important is how their respective franchises build around them.

With the #Commanders set to host the Bears on MNF, I broke down how each team has fared in that process 🔗⤵️ www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2025/...
Caleb vs. Jayden? It’s deeper than that for the Bears and Commanders.
Chicago and Washington might have their franchise quarterbacks, but there are various ways to build around them.

The Nationals have let go of at least 12 members of their player development staff and four members of their international scouting department, sources tell @spencernusbaum.bsky.social and me.

The names we know, and more, in here:

How America’s favorite sports bet is fueling sportsbook profits

Parlays are becoming more popular, accounting for an increasing share of the money wagered on sports, according to a Post analysis of betting data. Bettors lose billions a year on these bets.

Come for my 4-year-old’s review of Alex Ovechkin’s second signature cereal, stay for him marveling at the absurdity of the Capitals captain’s 897 career goals. “That’s a lot!” www.instagram.com/reel/DPjSfhM...

@tashanreed.bsky.social and I are rolling out a #Commanders mailbag this week.

What's your most pressing question about this team? What are y'all curious about?

No question is too granular. Bonus points for creativity.

If these snap counts are correct, #Commanders RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt racked up 150 yards and 16 touches on just 28 snaps.

That's about 9.4 yards per touch, which is crazy. And 5.4 yards *per snap* -- which might be even crazier.

We're (roughly) a quarter through the 2025 season. The #Commanders have had a bumpy start defined by injuries... but they're still 2-2 and there's plenty of time for them to get rolling.

My takeaways on the good and the bad through four games 🔗⤵️ www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2025/...
Commanders quarterly report: Special teams up; defense down; offense TBD
It has been an erratic but excusable start to the season for Washington, which has been decimated by injuries.

In the coming weeks, Paul Toboni will need to answer the team’s most pressing offseason questions.

But on Wednesday — just a few hours after he was officially announced as the Nationals’ POBO — he didn’t have them all. Just a vision for the future:
Paul Toboni’s vision for the Nats? A ‘scouting and player development monster.’
“We have a lot of work to do, that’s okay,” said Paul Toboni, Washington’s new president of baseball operations. “We’re going to embrace it.”

Ryan Leonard desperately wants to score goals for the Caps. But for Spencer Carbery, the box score counting stats will be at the bottom of the list of what he’s looking for from him.
On the budding power forward, his development arc and Carbery’s vision:

Success for Caps rookie Ryan Leonard won’t be measured by the box score
Spencer Carbery is looking for physicality from the young forward and isn’t worried about the number of goals and assists.
