COMMENTARY: Opposition parties will huff and puff about Budget 2025 but will let it pass - National | Globalnews.ca
When votes that could cause the government to fall come around, thoughts turn to which party’s interest is best served by an election. In this case, the answer is none of them.

Price caps aren’t the answer, but Ticketmaster still sucks.

Scott Stinson: Ticketmaster is awful — but you can't set a cap on luxury prices
Populist blather about event prices ignores the reality — people are going to find ways to sell things for a profit.

On Bonds and Clemens being on a Hall of Fame ballot again, and baseball’s unwillingness to acknowledge its own history:

Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens are back on a Hall of Fame ballot, which means voters have another chance to properly acknowledge baseball's history. It's a chance they should absolutely take. It's also ...

That is a lot of heartbroken Canadians.
The Blue Jays-Dodgers Game 7 broadcast in Canada between Sportsnet, Sportsnet+ & Citytv averaged 10.9 million viewers .

Sportsnet says it is the most-watched English-language broadcast on record in Canada outside of the 2010 Winter Olympics.

I would like credit for coining the nickname, The Treyminator.

Thank you.

COMMENTARY: Jays send out the Treyminator and the mightiest Dodgers cower | Globalnews.ca
It was cruelly absurd stuff. He wasn’t just dealing with All-Stars like Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman; he was making them look foolish.

The narratives that are built around a team often fail to hold up in the spotlight. Not so the Toronto Blue Jays of 2025.

COMMENTARY: Never-say-die Blue Jays show they can be as superhuman as Ohtani | Globalnews.ca
The Jays didn’t deliver the fatal shot down the thermal exhaust port of the Death Star Dodgers, but they have breached the outer defences.

Shohei Ohtani will get exactly zero opportunities to swing the bat now.

The most surprising revelation about this Blue Jays run is that Keanu Reeves is some kind of weird shut-in.
October 28, 2025 at 1:52 AM
The Jays need to start sitting on Yamamoto's curveball.

Or the four-seam fastball.
Or the cutter.
Or the slider.
Or the splitter.

OK, starting to see the problem here.

The Toronto Blue Jays were once a model franchise, winners of back-to-back championships.

It has taken a while, but they are back in the final series of the MLB season.

On a long wait, and the slugger who finally led them there:
