additional context, it was pride month, we talked about LGBT stuff, the guy was very openly gay and with his partner and his partner apologized after he left to me, and said "He doesn't actually know what a bear is, you are a very lovely twink."

I think there is a genuine argument about how some segments of games can turn into a slog on second playthroughs, like RPGs or Cinematic Experience games, or some platformer levels stopping you to look at the visuals

But I have heard stories of this level and this is not htat

The optimistic answer is that similar to China's crypto mining ban, they ban it outright and cite similar reasons, which causes a massive global loss of faith in the tech as investors panic and pull out, causing national economic crashes
