This is a total aside, but it's so uncanny seeing the player intentionally miss every shot in this footage. Which PR doofus at Atari was like "guys, you can't show anyone getting shot in your first-person shooter trailer"?

literally nobody else in the entire retro computing community I've seen so far has done this, and this is a VERY conservative group. fuck John Carmack.
I just learned that John Carmack misgendered and deadnamed Rebecca Heineman in his "tribute" over on Twitter. He probably thinks it's okay when talking pre-transition days, but FYI, most trans people hate that. Worse, he never calls her "she," switching to "they" for recent memories. Fuck that guy.

Not actually sure these are an improvement, but I threw some switch texture edits together in the hopes it would be more obvious that they're shootable.

This has been fixed in the upcoming version of DMA-BSP64, but one of the quirks of previous versions was totally unpredictable scrolling effects. Normal speed? Yep. Super fast? Sure, why not. Fast and in reverse? Hell yeah.
