I've handed over Hayao Miyazaki: Master of Japanese Animation (Revised and Expanded Edition) to the ace editorial and production team at McFarland. I am enormously grateful to Peter Goodman and his team at Stone Bridge Press, who first published the book in 1999. Now it will have a new life.

Been following since 2003 everything I would do in life would pivot back to seeing what Zac was up to. He always had something different going on and was entertaining as hell from an outside perspective. He is missed.

Today marks 5 years since the passing of my closest collaborator and colleague, Zac Bertschy.
Most people only knew him at his best, but his best was pretty amazing, and so were his demons. Looking back, the only thing I can think is “what an unbelievable waste.”
