what's that, boy? poppy's "birthDAY" is in "six DAYS"?????????

man, i sure hope no one draws anyone from his assortment of colourful, quirky yet lovable OCs..... that'd be kinda scary.......

A birth defect left her with only partial arms, so she uses a new strain of prosthetics conceived by her biochemist parents; leafy vines to wrap around things, like an octopus. Stubborn, impulsive, and endlessly curious, Poppy refuses to let her disabilities gatekeep her from a fun and fulfilling life. She’s “one of the boys” in a way, with a love for dirty work and a good schoolyard tussle every now and then. She takes on a lot of work and holds herself to a very high standard, and gets in quite a state when she just can’t physically do something; even holding a pencil is a challenge for her. Her methods of letting off steam (putting bullies in their place) has earned her as many enemies as she has friends, but she couldn’t care less. She wouldn’t want to be friends with pricks like them anyway! On the left is key art of Olive looking clever and determined. She has one leg stretched out, her body hunched over, one hand on her hip, and the other adjusting her glasses. Behind her is another shot of Olive bathed in a deep blue hue, wearing a one-piece swimsuit. Having been ostracized and bullied for much of her life, she’s still a bit of a wet noodle and getting used to this whole “best friends” thing, but she’s grown considerably since her encounter with Poppy made them an inseperable duo. Olive’s more likely to break up a fight than get in one, being the big sis to two rowdy brothers back home, but she’s not without some physical prowess of her own; she’s one of the few people that can keep up with Poppy as they wreak havoc on the rooftops together, and anyone who’s seen her at the pool will tell you she’s like a dolphin. The blue waters are like a second to her, and have been since childhood. She’d love to be a swim coach someday and introduce that world to kids and adults alike... and Poppy’s her personal Summer project! On the left is key art of Suddz enthusiastically putting on a show of soap bubbles. She is in mid-air, one armed raised in a swooshing motion. Surrounding her are large bubbles that resemble a rabbit, a four-leaf clover, a dolphin, and the "it's a giraffe!" elephant from the Spongebob episode Bubble Stand. The trophy-like stand beneath her depicts black and yellow checkerboard tiles. On the right is a character bio that reads as follows: Suddz! Scrimblo Bimblo Sea Bunny "Suddoridia Joronius Parvi XIV", the protagonist of a platformer from the mid-90s, couldn't care less about her "prim and proper" duties as the Sea Slug Kingdom princess. The real fun of her day comes from leaving the castle, actually befriending her subjects, and using her special ability - lathering up soap bubbles from her body - to put on shows for them. She's a performance artist at heart! The royal family and maids mistake this for laziness and stupidity, but she's far more aware, sympathetic and clever than she looks. In her game, a putrid sludge of manmade pollution threatening the sea's natural beauty - infecting its inhabitants and turning them violent - gives Suddz the perfect chance to prove herself. She can blow bubbles to trap things, make platforms, and hitch a ride through the air as she saves her friends in the neighbouring kingdoms, some of whom help her back as powerups. Her sophisticated gameplay saw great praise at the time, and even a small fanbase in recent years that still years for a sequel. Or ANYTHING but more merch, really.

been looking into dynamic game music for an assignment and i love how kondo is pretty cut and dry in the genre influences of his work and then you got totaka in the corner clashing pots and pans together and making stuff so procedurally complex you literally cannot publish it
