What Mikel Arteta has done this season with the difficulty of fixtures we had early on, the injuries we have faced and the fact that he had to embed a bunch of new players is incredible. He has elevated himself as a manager immensely

Glad Saka & Saliba didn’t start today but the fact that Tuchel still started Rice is a problem.

Anchelotti played Gabriel knowing they had to manage his workload for some pointless friendlies is a problem.

International managers do not care about the long term welfare of their players, simple

I am Jose Mourinho or maybe Mikel Arteta

The Miami Heat are a joke organisation with a joke of a front office and coach.

Stubborn, old minded, believe their way is the right way and they have no idea of which direction they want to go in.

There is a reason teams don’t deal with them often and they can’t land stars. They are washed

@arseblog.com @gunnerblog.bsky.social goodly morning gents, I thought Calafiori was brilliant at CB when he came on. Any thoughts and is him filling in for Gabriel more often a good way to protect his body from potential injuries he may get from trying to support us attack up the pitch?

Gary Lineker is leaving the BBC after he mistakenly reposted an Instagram reel featuring a rat which was deemed antisemitic. Mistakes are made and he apologised.

However, he'll be remembered for standing up for human rights and against genocide.

Amazing night for @arseblog.com and @arsenalvpodcast.bsky.social hopefully there will be full highlights on YouTube

@arseblog.com summed up the MLS red card perfectly 7/8 minutes into the latest podcast. Absolute cowards these wanker referees are

I hope that MLS red is overturned but I have little faith that it will. The PGMOL is corrupt and is lead by someone who was a corrupt referee. All a bunch of scum who don’t deserve to be a part of this game

Glad to see the Lewis Skelly red is being roundly condemned but we can’t treat it as a black swan event or a one off aberration. Webb is trying to create a culture of referees being stars and it needs to stop and it needs to be called out.

I absolutely hate Michael Oliver and the rest of the referees. Absolutely pathetic from a pathetic group of dickheads
January 25, 2025 at 3:53 PM
Absolutely positive start from the boys, they look rejuvenated somehow. Martinelli and Sterling doing the little things well out wide

Zubimendi transfer is great news, planning ahead and being proactive. Vlahovic on loan for now is fine, not his biggest fan but it gives us something new although I’m more concerned about lack of options out wide

Time to go separate ways. Sad to see man but this isn’t new, Pat always falls out with his stars
JUST IN: Jimmy Butler informed the Miami Heat of his desire to be traded away from the franchise before the Feb. 6 deadline, a league source confirmed Thursday.

Small things I took away from Jesus’s performance:

1) Didn’t hold onto the ball too long
2) Accuracy with the finishing wasn’t there but he got into the right positions
3) Movement was brilliant all night minus one cross where he didn’t attack the box
4) He looked happy again

Baby steps

My XI vs Monaco. Opportunities for Nwaneri and Merino, rest for Kai and Ødegaard, balance at the back
December 9, 2024 at 6:26 PM
Merseyside derby off, this gives Arsenal the chance to cut the lead to 4 and Liverpool have to claw that gap back up at a different period
December 7, 2024 at 9:24 AM
One aspect from yesterday that I don’t think was spoken about at all was just how good David Raya is on the ball. No talk of who’s no.1 and who’s no.2, he’s settled after a year with his defence and he looks amazing. He is so comfortable on the ball and is so assured of himself

Sad to see Guehi, Mazraoui and Morsey being scolded online for their beliefs, glad the FA didn’t charge them. You can get on & respect people who believe and support something different to you, why do they need to be forced to do something that goes against their beliefs and makes them uncomfortable
