Bought OTD in 1972: one of two, the past and the future. This is a proper 1967 psych album - not too many of those - with jammy excursions, sitar drenched Dave Mason songs and Steve Winwood’s beautiful No Face No Name No Number. One last rave up on the title track too
Love this, from 2007. They have obviously listened very carefully to #NEU!, which is a very good idea of course. #fujiyaandmiyagi
Yatton Down in #Wiltshire, yesterday. Absolutely get why it’s called ‘a hidden gem.’ Part of it is a small nature reserve, although the noise from #CastleCombe circuit - literally up the bank to the North - can be considerable (but there are different ways of having fun I guess).
The 17-mile #JubileeWay connects the (River) #SevernWay at Aust with the #CotswoldWay at Old Sodbury - highly recommended.

Here they are folks, #ClubBrat, being very noisy at the #GoldenLion in #Bristol tonight. There is still time to catch them on the current tour in #London #Nottingham #Sheffield #Birmingham and #Brighton Wonderful stuff.
#TheMountWithout in #Bristol used to be the church of St. Michael the Archangel, just outside (without) the city walls, but now it is a venue, and a pretty wonderful one too.
#BrigdheChaimbeul Scottish piper: a truly wonderful sound, as she demonstrated at #TheMountWithout in #Bristol on Thursday (18th).
Wonderful. Thanks for this.
Despite being a music bore, I think I’ve just about managed to stay one inch away from obsession, EXCEPT for this one. Comforting to know that luminaries like #JackBruce and #DaveHolland were also smitten. #EricDolphy #jazz
Sonny Liston (c.1930-30.12.1970): a very interesting character. #SonnyListon #boxing
On #Skirrid last Friday; a favourite spot. #BlackMountains

Almost 300 very enthusiastic pages on foghorns must be unique. Lots of fascinating references - including Bob ‘The Bear’ Hite of #CannedHeat no less - and the immortal line: ‘ #VanMorrison loves foghorns.’ Only a fool would argue. #JenniferLucyAllan
Sodbury Common #Gloucestershire, a surprisingly large area of open access land North of #Bristol
On the strength of ‘Born to Run’, it’s a shame that #FrankieGoesToHollywood didn’t make a #BruceSpringsteen covers album.
Here you go, a couple of books by #JamesDickey (1923-97)
#JackKerouac Chapter 4: ‘The Railroad Earth’, so far close to incomprehensible. (But there’s no going back).

Sad to learn that Herbert ‘Cowboy’ Coward, the ‘toothless’ hillbilly in #Deliverance, died in a road accident in January last year, aged 85. Gone but never forgotten. RIP
North, South and East from Walton Hill in #Somerset last night.
