Forgot to announce here that I re-signed with Eric Smith as my literary agent. Proud to be part of the neighborhood 🤩
Nice to finally see some good news on the timeline.

Frustrating though entirely unsurprising that a young femme-focused magazine that has been doing banger work in reporting on crucial issues is being gutted by the politically grey Vogue.

We need this reporting now more than ever, and I've said this far too many times in the last two years.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.
Got sick at absolutely the worst time. 🤧🤧
Fortnite Simpsons collab is fantastic!

Rumored Harry Potter collab? Miss me with that shit. That hateful hag doesn't need anymore $$$.
Whew. I am having a rough week. 🥲 Please send good vibes. ✨️

Writer pals, as we venture into “best of” list season, remember to focus on your other accomplishments.

That new draft, the books you’ve read to hone your craft…

Maybe the new thing you’re doing outside of writing (these are so important!)

Zero in on what you can control, and keep your head up. ❤️
Got tickets to Dreamhack in March for CDL Major 2. Finally going to experience a UK🇬🇧 CoD event, but my British wife is making sure I know how to properly pronounce Birmingham before we go 😂💀
There are so many great games to play right now. Enjoying BF6/Redsec but also excited for more Arc Raiders. I also want to play Outer Worlds 2, Ghost of Yotei, and BL4. 😅 I need more hours in a day.

Arc Raiders Made Me Feel Like The Main Character
One of my favorite experiences in any open-world game is when something that must've been spontaneous feels scripted: when emergent moments become setpieces by happy accident. Many of my favorite games have this quality, such as State of Decay, Sea of Thieves, and PUBG. In a recent four-hour session with Arc Raiders, I saw signs that it, too, has this elusive yet irresistible trait. For the uninitiated, Arc Raiders is an extraction shooter. What interests me about extraction shooters is that the shapes they've taken have been more varied than those of battle royale games, the subgenre du jour that preceded it. Whereas Fortnite, Warzone, and PUBG are all more or less offering the same gameplay loop in different wrappers, Wildgate is just about nothing like Hunt: Showdown, and neither of those is quite like Escape from Tarkov. What they all share is a constant risk-versus-reward calculation forever running in the back of players' minds. Knowing whether to push on for some incredible loot or to escape with more modest winnings comes down to feel; it's a gutcheck more than anything. By now, any half-decent extraction shooter knows how to toy with this sense of risk, but Arc's art direction, audio design, and great pacing made me feel like my best rounds were the game telling my story. When I died early in my first two rounds, I was just a Redshirt, an NPC bad guy there as fodder for some other daring raider who braved the terrain's hostilities to escape with precious resources. But on the missions where my GameSpot colleagues and I traveled, fought, and scraped out wins for 20+ minutes at a time, those were our moments as the story's heroes.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Being a Battlefield 6 engineer is a thankless job and shit XP 😭
Part of the movie was filmed in and around my hometown. So I'm constantly like, hey! That's my local liquor store 🤣 And I know that gas station

At a time when we need more of her and less of the rest, it is our great loss.

Eternally grateful for the kindness with which she lived by example, her revolutionary study of chimpanzees that shifted scientific understanding of animals and nature, and decades of advocating for a humane world.
Wife and I just started playing Baldur's Gate 3. She's played D&D before. I have not lol. I have no fucking clue what im doing or what spells to use. 🤣 I'm finding it interesting but overwhelming.
Played three missions from Battlefield 6's single-player campaign. Had a lot of fun with the destruction and think the full campaign will be a blast. 🔥
Battlefield 6's Story Campaign Lets You Have Fun With Destruction When It Wants To
Recently, I attended EA's digital preview event for Battlefield 6's single-player campaign. This event gave me access to three full campaign missions, which collectively highlighted a wide variety of environments and mission types. From storming the beaches of Gibraltar in tanks to gritty close-quarters fights in New York City, the preview contained everything you'd expect from a Battlefield campaign: iconic weaponry, grounded military-style aesthetics, and no shortage of explosions and destruction. Battlefield 6's campaign takes place in 2027 after NATO gets reduced to shambles, and a private military corporation known as Pax Armata has risen to power. This corporation's attempts to further accumulate power threaten to send the world into global conflict. The story follows members of the elite US Marine raiders unit known as Dagger 1-3 as they fight against Pax Armata's forces on a global scale. During this hands-on session, I played missions set in Gibraltar, the United States, and Tajikistan. I was first introduced to Battlefield 6's third campaign mission, Operation Gladus. This part of the story takes place in the city of Gibraltar, which is a British Overseas Territory located at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula. The mission began with our arrival by water to reach the beaches of Gibraltar, as Pax Armata had seized control of the city. The historic rock of Gibraltar was on my left as we reached land, and it was a stunning view despite the low graphics settings my laptop needed to use.Continue Reading at GameSpot

the # of people who seem to forget that the agent/editor/author that they're talking to/about is an actual person truly is at an all-time high 🙃

I can't speak for everyone, but a not-insignificant number of us are exhausted little burned out gremlins who are just trying to survive 1 day at a time
