The exclusion of trans people from public and academic spaces, removal of protections by human rights institutions, dehumanising language used by state news media, judicial tolerance of trans directed hate crime, withdrawal of medical care: all of this is very familiar to genocide scholars.

Interesting piece.
The points about human rights/EU law have force. But for me, the central problem with the FWS judgment is more fundamental. It strikes me as implausible that this is what Parliament intended, without spelling it out, only 6 years after the GRA, and in an Act dealing with equality.

I was being serious. I used to handle DBSs a couple years ago and ANYONE dealing with minors had to have Enhanced DBS with Child Baring that was renewable annually.

I've spoken to a few online over the years and most detransitioners are decent people with no hatred what so ever to the trans community or trans health care.
One thing though is that they are targeted by anti-trans groups to turn on us, so it being the same few shows it's a manufactured issue.
