SVP is what I'll miss most while it's offline.

But if ESPN thinks I should pay more because they're spending gazillions on McAfee and Stephen A., and putting pro wrestling "highlights" on SportsCenter, no thanks.
Loved the effort from Michkov on the boards.
The sports-music mashup I didn't know I needed today
A few years ago, The National’s Matt Berninger was stuck — writer’s block.

“I started getting depressed by notebooks.” So he wrote on the baseball instead.

I thought I'd seen it all in SEO, but right now I'm looking at a real estate agent's blog post that ends with an H2 "Keywords for Buyers and Sellers" and then has 6-8 phrases separated by commas.

Folks, this is not what we mean by "use keywords in your articles." 😅

Just wait till they discover AI.
If there's city-by-city numbers, can you share viewership in Seattle?

Most of the M's fans I know are too sad/angry/disappointed to watch. (Me included.)

Homes about to get even more expensive because, iirc, builders get a lot of lumber and other supplies from Canada.
Trump says he’s increasing tariffs on imports of Canadian goods by 10% because Ontario’s commercial that accurately used Ronald Reagan’s words about tariffs made him sad

New browser! Exciting! But I need to talk about something I'm seeing with ChatGPT's Atlas browser because I have thoughts 🧵👇

The short version: if you serve tech-savvy audiences, your GA4 "new users" metric is about to get weird for a few weeks.

ChatGPT’s new Atlas browser doesn’t just see what you read — it remembers it.

@eff.org’s Lena Cohen showed me it even logged “memories” of her looking for *abortion care* and her doctor’s name. Out-surveils even Chrome.

Column | ChatGPT just came out with its own web browser. Use it with caution.
OpenAI’s Atlas promises AI-powered convenience. The price? Letting ChatGPT track and store “memories” of what you do online.

News of an OpenAI browser “is the latest sign of the company heading down the ad-supported road” — but it raises “a troubling question: does the world need trillions worth of computing infrastructure if all AI winds up being is a new version Google/Instagram?)”

A note for sports: Bluesky’s engagement rate was x10 higher than X’s across a sampling of identical posts made on both platforms by @rapsheet.bsky.social (sharing with permission)

Fwiw we see a similar trend across all communities, not just sports. Real people, real conversations.
