A pattern of spot illustrations, featuring an arctic fox, an arctic tern, a polar bear, some rabbit footprints in the snow, and a forest. Interior illustration for Nautilus magazine. A figured in a red shirt stands in the middle, as various animals walk around them, depicted in a red/green colour palette. Book cover for The Night Ends with Fire written by K.X. Song. A figure stands in a field of flowers, as a greenish dragon circles the sky and sits above the figure. A spread from the book, Little Wolf's Howl, written by Nelly Buchet. Little Wolf chases a butterfly, towards the water. Behind them you can see various backgrounds flowing together, showing all the places Little Wolf has travelled to chase the butterfly.

Because it's October, I included not one but two of my Dracula illustrations here!

The little artbook I made out of my Dracula inspired illustrations, and doodles is still my favourite personal project, and I'm incredibly grateful for all the love it receives 🖤🦇

You can always tell these companies are full of BS because they lack the coherent details of any of this to make sense:

- what materials is the reflector made from? (because costs)
- What is the product lifetime? How will they be disposed?
- How are they maintained / kept in orbit?

If you think you know why US newspapers died, this feature documentary now streaming for free on PBS might surprise you. It wasn't the Internet. Newspapers were specifically targeted by vulture capitalists.

I composed the score for the film, which features electric cello & Crowfoot guitars.

People think the first thing Gutenberg printed was the Bible. This is false. The first things he printed were a political prophecy, propaganda about the Turks’ threat to Christendom, & a popular school text. If you want a parallel to AI, that’s it: making $ from conspiracies, racism, & school slop.

Buried in Michigan's antiporn bill is a provision to effectively outlaw "circumvention tools," such as VPNs.

Mark my words: legislators will increasingly leverage porn panic to restrict or ban VPNs, and to limit internet privacy far beyond adult sites.
Experts raise privacy concerns over Michigan bill targeting pornography and VPNs
Rep. Josh Schriver, the bill’s sponsor, says the law is designed to target only producers and distributors of pornography, not everyday internet users.

I hope this little dude never outgrows the part of his personality that says “if you see an open human hand, that’s where your tiny face should go”. He does it literally all the time. If I present my hand to him and he’s not super hyper (even if he is sometimes), he just puts his head there.

Here I am. Once again. I'm out of archaeologists.

We matched 576 groups w/archaeologists, leaving 13 groups unmatched. This brings me pain! We've never run out of scientists like this before. 598 requests for one category is A LOT. But still.

Archaeologists 🥺
