we have chopped veggies, layered noodles, sauce and cheese and turned on the slow-cooker, so count-down the Thanksgiving dinner veggie lasagna is 4 hours from now. Twenty years now our Thanksgiving tradition.

Oct 2024 NASA launched a probe to study Jupiter's moon Europa, the most likely place for life outside of earth...it will get there in 2030...I have to wonder sometimes, will the US still have the scientific staff at NASA who can guide the probe and retrieve the information in 2030?

on Veterans Day I often think of my two Aunts Mary Greer and Sue Greer Schiller who served as nurses during WWII. Mary was an Army nurse (Captain) and Sue was a Navy Nurse. I only have pictures of Mary in uniform from the 1940's. Both aunts spent some time in northern Africa during the war.

So with 8 Dems help the Senate will pass a compromise CR; does anyone actually believe that Speaker Johnson will recall the House to vote on it? There's indications he has no plans to reconvene until after Dec. 2. So giving up that leverage will result zip, nada.

The sudden appearance of ads for Tiktok is weird. Tiktok is wildly popular, used by millions all over the world for years, but now that it's been purchased by new owners, and I have to wonder if the sudden need to tout Tiktok in ads is because there are plans that would make it less popular.
