We are a police state, with poverty as deliberate policy, we defend apartheid & arm genocidal regimes, we ignore international law, we break treaties, we host global corruption, our covid-19 response failed, we promote racist hostility: we are a failed state.
I'm UK, so I may be misunderstanding this, but surely the important maths regarding scotus was done with the appts. of Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett in Trump's first term?

Or even earlier, in 1789 with the decision 'unelected and serving for life...'
I still can't believe that the man who bragged about grabbing women by the pussy; who explained to camera how hard his cognitive screening test for Alzheimers was; who encouraged the assassination of his own vice president is still legally at liberty, let alone being president of the United States.

Considering Trump led a coup d-etat & endorsed hanging his own VP before getting off scot-free, I'd say it's more likely he proposes changing the Constitution to allow a third term, and that SCOTUS and/or Congress will back him...
How likely is it that at the end of this U.S administration, some of its members actually end up in jail for what they have done? From this side of the ocean it sometimes seems like Americans have an aversion toward actually going through with criminal procedures against those in the highest office.

Remember, The Emperor's New Clothes was a parable about the lackeys, not the emperor.
Without the media, his party, and big $, his rise and crimes would not be possible.

And seriously, that's before we even get to the allegations of child rape, normalising Nazism & literally demolishing the White House!

Thing is, you can't really blame Trump. He's a psychotic confidence-trickster who'll get away with whatever he can; it's all of the rest of you that put him there.

Britain is one of the world’s richest countries. So why do a third of its children live in poverty? | CNN
Child poverty has reached a record high in the United Kingdom as the country’s cost of living soars and its social security safety net falters following years of government austerity.

Simplistic propaganda works (household economics model), so imagine: gang of schoolyard bullies deflect from their own cruelty by encouraging little kid to provoke big, weird loner in corner until finally he stops protesting & lashes out. Bullies scream at little guy to fight, then fetch teacher.
If you could choose for just one of the following to no longer exist, which would most make the world a better place?

1. Vladimir Putin
2. Donald Trump
3. Peter Thiel
4. Xi Jinping
5. Elon Musk

Disagreeing with you isn’t an invitation to fight, verbally, nor is it a denunciation of your intelligence or rights, it’s almost always discussion.
