A 1996 game called Harvester. It thought it had something important to say about violence in computer games. It didn't. It was painfully stupid.

What's the worst game you finished/rolled credits on?

(games media folks, it can't be something you were assigned to review; this has to be something you subjected yourself to of your own free will)

I don't think it was Steven Moffat's place to resolve RTD's Time War story.

Tell me your most unhinged Doctor Who opinion. I mean, if you’re a fan, they’re likely all unhinged anyway.

The Chairs of Doctor Who - new chair day!
In fact, two from 'Dragonfire'. This first one is an
‘Etruscan’ chair, by Danny Lane, designed in 1984.
Also, the elusive French wire chair, circa 1950.

Commando, directed by Capcom's Tokuro Fujiwara, was a big 1985 arcade hit. Elite Systems won the bidding for the home computer rights, staking their future on it succeeding there too. Now they just had to make those versions of the game by Christmas...

Commando – “Now rush the 2nd area”
1985 was quite a year for Tokuro Fujiwara. He had earlier started his career at Konami, joining from Osaka Designers’ College to do visual design work, initially without realising it was a video ga…

Two different computer games both called Aliens: The Computer Game and both released by Electric Dreams. It was confusing.

Brand new on Dirty Feed: what was special about the Fawlty Towers episode "Basil the Rat"?

Short version: it had two days in the studio, while every other episode only had one.

Long version: www.dirtyfeed.org/2025/10/tc8-...
Fawlty Towers, "Basil the Rat": the Major spots the offending creature in the bar.

The CGI effects are technically impressive but I wanted to play around with the studio footage itself.

I really like Castrovalva but I think the ending suffers because what's on screen does not sell the idea that space is folding in on itself. I've had a go at adding some visual distortion, hopefully, in line with what was technically possible in 1981.

2/2 ...approval from the Anthony Coburn estate.

It's The Masters of Luxor. All of it. In an amazing development, it turns out the story was recorded but the episodes went unused, like what happened with the original Planet of Giants parts 3 and 4.
The best bit. My source tells me the release is ready to go now. 2 Entertain just need 1/2

From the Film Is Fabulous Facebook page:
Facebook comment from Film is Fabulous to Justyn Adderley: "Thanks. As mentioned by Sue Malden at our RECOVERED event in May, we are aware of several missing episodes of Doctor Who (Sue stated one of two, but there are more than this) in private film collections in the U.K. We are liaising with the individuals about cataloguing and preserving their entire collection, including the missing Doctor Who episodes, and ensuring that copies are returned to the BBC. We expect to make a detailed announcement shortly."

That's definitely too much Silver Nemesis.

A Look at Load Runner. The galaxy's first ever computer comic, apparently. A 1983 comic from the publisher who brought you Sinclair User. whereweretheynow.blogspot.com/2025/09/load... #RetroGaming #RetroComputing
