I left my trap at 10:30pm 🌕with Black Rustic, SS Dart, Garden Carpet, LB Apple. Woke up with the moon still bright and just 3 further moths, Box, and 2 LYU. 7/6 total. Shame as cloud was forecast all night.

Good luck for the rest of the night. Just popped back out and Mr moon back behind the cloud, but only just. A garden carpet has joined the list but nothing new. Just two NFG would be nice tonight. 🤞

My trap has been out since 7…..it was cloudy. Now I can see the moon 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️. Fortunately I’ve escaped a visit from Wogan with a Black Rustic and Shuttle-shaped Dart 😮‍💨

Ooh goodness me. I can’t possibly put the trap away. I need more moths. Phew, 😮‍💨 a quick check and fortunately I’ve got a shuttle shaped dart and 2 LYU so far and a huge caddis fly thingy. So Sir Terry can visit someone else tonight.

Hi Suzanne. Thanks for the recommendation. I have Obsidentify and irecord. I think I’ve ID them using those apps but will get iNaturalist too.
I reckon they’re clockwise from top left-Dead Molls Fingers, Shaggy Inkcap, Sulphur Tuft, MilkCap or Bolete? Hare’s Foot InkCap, Grey Coral.

I remember it me taking me 2 1/2 hours over two attempts, and I still needed help. A great weekend, I had this, the Grey Phalarope, and the Bempton Shrike all on the same day. I doubt this weekend will be quite the same! Thanks for sharing these pics, bought back memories of a great days birding
