I’m usually so bad at taking my own advice, but I’m gonna hang onto this one because I still feel this way. Art by itself won’t save us by itself, but community can. And I think it will.
Not to be unkind, but I am so impatient about the “what’s the point of making my little zines/comics/crafts/art when the world is on fire” sentiments. I get it, but saving the world is not a responsibility shouldered by your art! That’s what being a neighbor, a friend, and hell, a citizen is for!!!

saw 100 Meters for date night last night. it kind of owns and i hope they release a physical copy someday. i'm really glad that Kenji Iwaisawa got to do bigger projects after On-Gaku and it's really cool to see this kind of rotoscoping work in the anime space
