Did you know that as a small independent artist you have to pay to be on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, etc?
You can’t just upload stuff like you can on YouTube or SoundCloud. You have to pay a distributor.
And it takes a lot of people listening to even make back those fees.

One personally frustrating thing about the big AI push is that it forces people to assess it in a hurry, which makes people careless. It kinda smells like a scam to me if someone’s hurrying you along, cultivating urgency in you, well before you know where they’re taking you.

- I'm short about $400 on rent
- my current gig pays contractors on a 30 day delay(!!!)
- I can't drive until I can afford to repair my car (battery won't charge itself)
