He looked so regal in that pic, I had to draw him! Hope that's OK. I'm so deeply sorry for your loss. He looks a beautiful boy who probably purred really loud 🌸☘👑
A digital illustration of an incredibly fluffy cat, drawn in a watercolour-and-ink style. The colours are pastel with lots of yellow, aqua, and cool pink. The cat sits facing us, his bushy white chest contrasting with brown tabby colouring, giving the air of a wise white-bearded king. He has white paws and a white blaze on his face that covers his cheeks and nose. His long, bushy tail curves behind him, adding drama to the seated pose. A gold crown with red gems floats above his head like a halo, sending off radiant lines in the background. He sits on a fluffy white cloud. Around the image is a stylised frame, decorated with red clover (state flower of Vermont) and in the centre, the subject's name: FERGUS.

“Sauve qui peut”. This is a French phrase that translates literally to something like "save yourself who's able/can" and roughly equates to “run for your life!” or “every man for himself!”, indicating a chaotic or dangerous situation/stampede. Postcard from my collection, no date/info.
Black and white photo of a shorthaired tabby kitten appearing to burst through a sheet of white paper in a dark frame. Text at the bottom reads “sauve qui peut”.

Turret Arch, located within Arches National Park, always reminds me of a castle or some sort of dragon's lair. #photography
A large, complex formation of sandstone towers with an arch in the center at the top of a hill. Stairs lead through the foreground desert landscape of orange dirt and green shrubs, up to the arch. Partly cloudy blue sky is overhead.

You stole the acorn from the plush squirrel then stashed it away in your hidey-hole, like a squirrel. That makes me smile.

You've been at a job long enough to know a decent colleague to chat with.

The more you get to know them, the more they share. What's fact or fiction? You don't know, but you listen.

Then there's one story that's so over the top—a bona fide lie. But then, a photo appears.
A red Ford Pinto hatchback angles across a narrow gravel forest service road, a blue enduro motorcycle on a rear hitch carrier. Tall firs frame the view. Beyond them, a towering ash cloud from a pyroclastic density flow billows skyward. Photo by Richard Kent Lasher, May 18, 1980.

Hen and Wren.
Ink and gouache on Fabriano Medioevalis, approximately 95 × 64 mm.
Drawing in black ink, primarily in silhouette, of a hen and a Wren regarding each other quizzically. The hen stands in a patch of wild grasses whilst the wren perches on a small, leafless shrub in front of her. The hen's comb and wattle are the only touch of red gouache. The drawing is finely wrought and intricate. The piece is roughly the size of a business card.
