More than 20 years ago, the Tories were removing the whip from backbench MPs who told racist jokes at private functions.

Today, it seems fine to make openly racist statements if you are in the Shadow Cabinet or seen as a “rising star”.

Not an Ashley fan but you look at some of the absolute chancers who’ve run EFL clubs and SWFC could do worse. They’ll never realise their potential and Hillsborough will become a billboard for HoF but he’d offer dull stability. Just as we had. Absolutely nothing more.
Such is Cookie Monster’s determination to memorialise the fallen that he’ll literally pin a poppy into his skin.
As November approaches, never forget that the BBC pinned a poppy on Cookie Monster.

"YPRES MAKE COOKIE MONSTER SAD. NO COOKIES AT SOMME."
Wonderful
Beautiful.
Plaid Cymru battered them.
Doing the same bloody things we were 2 yrs ago.
Maybe if she spent less on Botox?
So many problems in the country and this is what idiots are getting about. Flags and ethnicity. Utter fuckwits.
These people are bloody imbeciles. Money that would be better spent on social care, education, mitigating the risk of climate change, rather than making your streets look like Ballymena or Antrim. These people who voted them in are bloody imbeciles as well.
The Democrats are MIA.
Not great that you have it but hooray for a GP that listens and a solution which hopefully puts your mind at rest!
Our base for the next few days
It’s like hearing Captain Edward Smith talking about how to avoid icebergs.
What a strange slant. Reform didn’t lose the by election any more than the LD’s, Greens or UKIP did. Plaid Cymru won it. If anyone lost, it was Labour.

The Caerphilly result is what we need to see everywhere at the next election: people coordinating to vote tactically for parties which seek a fairer, kinder, greener country.
Pushing out both those who have betrayed our trust AND those who seek to exploit that betrayal.
He’s so poor. Whereas the BBC used to have political editors with gravitas, he’s just nothing at all.
Safe home! My cats, bed and wife are the three items I’d save in a fire! Although the bed would be tricky…

Someone was in my mentions over this saying "whatever it takes for them to finally wake up!" like libs aren't permanently angry with Trump...they spent the entirety of the Biden years fixating on everything Trump did and said. There's no lack of anger for Trump. It just shouldn't peak with this.
Of course the BBC coverage focuses on the large % of votes they got and why Reform will lead the Sennedd next year.
Good news to wake up to from Caerphilly.
I also blame Cameron and Corbyn for failing to make any sort of persuasive case that we were better off within the EU.
