Exactly! And what a neat photo! Whos to say that this wont be the cover of a new top 40 artist in the next few years? YOU made this happen, this was a view of the world YOU chose to immortalize. Not some machine procedurally generating meaningless slop.

Relying on AI instantly devalues your work because ur basically telling the world that your art has more value than the work of other artists. Who's to say that your music wasn't ALSO created by AI if your standards are that low? Whether it was your intent or not, thats the vibe youre putting out.

Hun. Think about all the legendary album covers that have just been text on a plain bg, or just a photo. I understand the impact that a beautifully illustrated album cover can have, but it doesn't NEED to be that.

CN greenlit my short "Harmony in Despair" for the CartoonCartoons Project alongside several other shorts in 2021.
I happily wrote/directed/produced the creative venture alongside several amazing talents who made this vision come to life.
The short was completed in April 2022.
One of these days, huh?

I adore this! Now I'm going through a brain storm of what pride flag candy would taste like! Like the bright pastel ones would be like Smarties, the ones with warmer tones would be like CremeSavers, and the ones with black/purple would be AllSorts licorice or dark chocolate with fruit filling.

It can be hard to gauge if someone you're reaching out to is a willing participant, even if you've stated your business/intent early and didn't just type "hi." I try to gauge it by the length and detail of the answers I get, if they're short/curt I'm like "ok that feels like a boundary, time to go"

I remember getting excited about any opportunity to "feel understood" even if it was through small talk, but being socially awkward as a kid made it a nightmare haha

Oh I feel all of this. I feel most of us have this fear of coming off hostile when sharing a difference of opinion or lack of interest in an interaction. My failsafe is to shift an uninteresting topic to something that I'm more familiar with that's adjacent to whatever topic they asked about.

Dude huge same here! I still remember random encounters with humans I've never seen again, where they'd lay out a set up for me to add a punchline to, and we'd have this moment of sudden connection over a shared sense of humor and I found it so reassuring ❤️

Yeah this has always felt normal to me, all friendships start with some version of small talk, and it doesn't always result in a connection, and that's ok! 'i hate small talk' just comes off as "angry social anxiety" to me
