Zohran's campaign was his determination to make New York a city everyone can afford to live in. Huge congratulations!

His success will resonate throughout the world. A story where no one is left behind.

It's time to write that story across England & Wales too.

Our weekly support for climate & nature. Good conversation with an older woman passing by, worried for her grandchildren after she’s gone, which won’t be long. She was comforted by idea that we can show the children there are lots of good people are doing what they can. 💚 @zero-hour.bsky.social

SUCH a good event: well planned, hosted, facilitated. Timely & engaging. 🙏 @gsiexeter.bsky.social. And thanks too for flagging up @climatepsychol.bsky.social for support if overwhelmed, as well we might be were it not that the solidarity of an afternoon like this + future planning give us strength.
Participative deliberative democracy. Great stuff @gsiexeter.bsky.social - excited for our conversations this afternoon.

Tackling the cost of living crisis goes hand in hand with tackling the climate crisis.

We need food security, insulated homes, and cheap renewable energy.
UK food inflation is being driven by climate change-induced extreme weather, driving up price of butter, milk, beef, chocolate & coffee

The price rises in those staples is contributing 40% of overall food inflation

Climate change is hitting peoples' pockets, right now

One of the less understood beauties of a transition to a renewable economy is: you cannot invade a country and steal its sunshine and its wind, and you will not need to. The uneven distribution of fossil fuel, esp. oil, has corroded geopolitics for more than a century....
Nobel Peace Prize recipient María Corina Machado appeared on Donald Trump Jr.’s podcast.

She touted the oil reserves in Venezuela (the largest in the world) and vowed to privatize the oil industry to enable American corporations to exploit and profit from the country’s resources if she gains power.

"When a US president can personally profit hundreds of millions of dollars from a digital token whose price then collapses by 80%, we are not looking at a financial revolution. We are looking at a racket."
Cryptocurrency isn’t freedom, writes Prof Richard Murphy.

It’s deregulation dressed up as liberation.

Behind the rhetoric lies the same old story: profit for the few, risk for the many.
Cryptocurrency: lawlessness disguised as liberty
Cryptocurrency is sold as radical innovation and financial liberation. In reality, it’s an old familiar story: fraud

Mental health doesn't take a day off.

The Green Party is committed to ensuring mental health and physical health care are equally prioritised.

That means funding major improvements in mental health care - so that all of us can access the support we need, when we need it.
