By lucky coincidence, The Damned are playing in Minneapolis tonight, on the 40th anniversary of the release of the Replacements' "Tim" album. Here are some photos and a pretty good story from when the Mats opened for the Damned in Madison in 1982

A remarkable set of pics from photographer Hank Grebe (mediaspin.com), capturing the Replacements opening for The Damned in Madison, Wisc. in 1982. This was a turning point in terms of Bob Stinson’s fashion sense, thanks to Captain Sensible, seen in the second shot below. In the third image you can see Bob watching him intently from the wings.
