Maria Steen has, in practice, about half an hour to find two more signatures.

The Returning Officer is only available to receive forms by appointment, and Steen’s campaign made an 11am booking (ahead of the 12pm deadline) to hand them over - IF they had the full 20.

She is, as of now, still at 18.

The Goodbye Girl is on RTE2 at 11pm tonight. A lovely comedy from Neil Simon. You rarely see older films like this shown on Irish tv anymore and thats a real pity.
