Many thanks to Enterprise car rental for the opportunity to participate in an ad hoc recreation of a Seinfeld episode. Unique opportunity! youtu.be/4T2GmGSNvaM?...

Emerson finds TN-7 basically ~tied ahead of Tuesday election, with Trump underwater in a district he won by 22.

A winnable race for Dems.

If R’s lose this race their ability to control the House *this year* is a real issue.

Ok this is big. Sen. Rounds iterates that, per Rubio, Thursday is a deadline to begin negotiations — not a deadline for Ukraine to accept the deal. There is no threat of revoking intelligence sharing or ending arms shipments from the administration, he says.

Finally got this month’s Panorama, shot by @ohoat.bsky.social, and friends it is so good—the pics are great and that 944 is as close to perfect as you could want it to be. Look at those seats, my god

"Malort advent calendar" is already such an unhinged concept but every little window just having Malort in it really pushes it over the edge into something transcendently funny

Hey if you accidentally read that thing about Olivia Nuzzi and would like a mental cleanse, why not read about Journey’s Separate Ways and the need to scream sometimes when you’re sad?
"when I, with my supposed iron stomach for sadness, try to think of the saddest song I've ever heard, my mind goes to that CD that Sam gave Jennifer, and the one song I couldn’t believe was on it."

It’s 50 years on from the day the Fitzgerald went down with all 29 men aboard. What’s crazy is that iron ore shipping still looks much the same as it did then. Here is the SS Wilfred Sykes, one of the ships that went looking for the Fitz that night, moving through a winter storm just yesterday.

When Tomorrow Wendy didn’t make the @marchxness.bsky.social March Sadness tournament, I knew had to write about it for an extracurricular. Now, here it is…appropriately, underneath a chilly grey November sky

I am once again noting that JD Vance chose to live two blocks away from the local public Spanish immersion school
Jesus Christ if you don’t want to live next to people who speak a different language why on earth is it incumbent on those people and not you to go somewhere else
Vance says it is "totally reasonable and acceptable" for people to not want to live next door to people who speak a different language than they do
