In the 1930s, Red-tailed Hawks were absent from most of Ohio due to habitat loss and human persecution ("kill all predators" colonial mentality).
Whenever I get a chance to take a few minutes to watch our campus hawks I'm just so so grateful that they were protected and managed to recover.

I was at the aquarium, and my favorite fish was behind the scenes because they had just gotten surgery…. Wtf do you mean it took an embarrassingly long time after that to realize 2 artists I like announced a collab while I was there.
