How I feel about doing some traditional art as a primarily digital artist.
I wish I knew an easier avenue to get clients, I miss Old deviantArt sometimes. I hate how artists need to be social media managers to gain work. I don't have the spoons for that. I want to make art for folks, I want to engage with the wider art community; I don't want it to be a rat race. Yanno?

The whole starving artist is a terrible, awful, truth for too many. Self-included. Like obviously not literal, but only because I get SNAP. I am also struggling to get on disability benefits. I don't know how most folks make it without aid--the same five bucks travel through many artists' hands.
Very, very few comic book creators can survive on just the money they make from comics. It is an inherently unstable job and it is only getting worse as time goes on. Don't ever be embarrassed or ashamed of needing another job so that you can keep making comics.
