A year ago, I won the #Chelmsford parliamentary seat, ending 74 years of Conservative rule. Since then, I’ve worked hard for my constituents, championing local issues and making sure Chelmsford’s voice is heard. Being an #MP isn’t easy, but I love it. Thanks for your support. #GeneralElection

Vote Lib Dem on Thursday! 🔶

If you live in Moulsham Lodge, you'll get ONE ballot paper for Essex County Council - vote for David.

If you live in Moulsham & Central, you'll get TWO ballot papers; one for Essex and another for Chelmsford City Council - vote for David & also Helen and Seán.

Make sure you vote for the #LiberalDemocrats this Thursday. The Conservatives want to sell everything.
#Chelmsford Conservatives think John Shennan Field should have been built on.

Chelmsford Lib Dems - including our county council candidate, David Loxton - are delighted that the Lib Dem-run city council has now made it a Local Nature Reserve, hopefully protecting it for generations to come 🌍

Seán Manley is one of our candidates for City Council. As a local business owner employing mainly women, he knows how important it is for people to feel safe in the High Street.

He explains why this is just one of the reasons why he wants to represent Moulsham & Central. Vote for Seán on 1st May🔶

Whilst elections in Chelmsford have been scrapped after a stitch up between Labour government & Conservative ECC, there is still an important one in Moulsham & Central.

On 1st May you can elect David, Helen and Seán as committed local champions 🔶

True friends and allies have always been important but never more so than in these worrying times. It was genuinely an honour to visit Canada House and hear from the Canadian High Commissioner this morning. Pleased to be there with Lib Dem colleagues including @dannychambers.bsky.social.
Alongside @mariecgoldman.bsky.social it was a privilege to visit the High Commission of Canada in the United Kingdom celebrating their presidency of the G7. In times like these, it's important we have principled leaders willing to stand with allies & defend democracy from tyranny at home and abroad.

I’m fighting for a better future for community pharmacies, vital to our communities and the #NHS. I hosted an event in Parliament with Community Pharmacy England to highlight their challenges. About 50 MPs joined to support their potential. It’s high time we supported our #pharmacies.

Had a fantastic time at The Boswells School today! I joined Year 8 for their Jamie Oliver cooking class, and it was great to see them hands-on in the kitchen. It’s wonderful to see schools promoting lifelong cooking habits for students' well-being. Thanks to The Boswells School for the warm welcome.

We had a great time this weekend speaking to residents all across #Chelmsford including in Moulsham & Springfield!

Essex elections may have been cancelled in a Labour-Tory stitch up, but lots of people were still keen to speak to the local team and impressed with our hard work in the city.

Five pharmacies have closed across Chelmsford in just 2 years. This is having a profound impact on the elderly and those in need of regular medication.

As @mariecgoldman.bsky.social says the government needs to step up quickly and address this issue.

I’m concerned about debts racked up by the incompetence of Tory council administrations and how residents in places such as Essex and Surrey might be left paying the price, with higher taxes and fewer services. This should have been fixed before the elections were cancelled. #LocalCouncils

After raising the issue of the future of PCSOs in Essex in the House of Commons last week, I'm glad to hear that the government has doubled the funding for neighbourhood policing. Our PCSOs have now been saved! 🎉

Thank you to the Leader of the House for acknowledging my efforts in this regard.

It's great that the Liberal Democrats have managed to protect this green space in Moulsham Lodge from future development.
We held the official opening for John Shennan Field as a Local Nature Reserve yesterday!

Local residents, your local Lib Dem councillors (like @simonmg.bsky.social) and council officers have worked really hard to make this a reality and protect the land for future generations 🌍

The system for supporting children with special educational needs is broken and families are suffering. In Essex, just 0.9% of EHCPs are issued on time, and nationally, 37.4% are delayed by 6 months or more. The Government must act now. Children can’t wait.

I led a debate on the urgent need to fix Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Delays and inconsistencies are failing children with SEND, with some waiting over a year for support. The current system is failing too many.

The CQC downgraded Broomfield’s maternity services to 'Inadequate', with Basildon and Southend rated 'Requires Improvement'. I visited Broomfield, saw progress, but quicker action is needed. I’ve raised this in Parliament, calling for better CQC resourcing for faster inspections. NHS deserves more.
