Brexit has cost each and every one of us £3,700 a year.

But instead of solving the problem, Labour are using Brexit as an excuse to raise your taxes.

My message ahead of the Budget: Stop blaming Brexit and start fixing it!

Evidence shows screening saves lives. We have the tools to deliver screening safely & effectively. Tens of thousands have called on Parliament to act and we have a duty to listen.

That's why I signed this letter to the Health Secretary 👇

Too many puppies and dogs suffer as part of the cruel cross-border puppy trade. @dannychambers.bsky.social has been a formidable voice for these animals, showing compassion and determination.

Now, thanks to his Bill, we can #CrackdownOnPuppySmuggling once and for all!

If the government was serious about avoiding further tax rises and service cuts, rebuilding our trade with Europe is key. We need a new customs union.

We need a full investigation into Russian interference in our politics.
Nathan Gill has been sentenced to 10.5 years for endangering national security and taking Russian bribes.

Nigel Farage and Reform are a danger to national security, the Liberal Democrats will continue to hold them to account and defend our democracy.

My Animal Welfare Bill has now passed through both the Commons and the Lords! As a vet, knowing this Bill will have a bigger impact on animal welfare than I could possibly have achieved in a lifetime treating individual animals, demonstrates how important this legislation will prove to be.

When politicians ignore scientific advice, lives are lost and the economy suffers — the Covid Inquiry makes that starkly clear.

We cannot afford to repeat those mistakes, especially as parties like Reform give space to dangerous anti-vax and climate change denial narratives.
BREAKING: UK’s response to Covid was “too little too late”. Acting faster could have saved 23,000 lives in England according to the public inquiry.

Boris Johnson presided over a “toxic, sexist, chaotic culture” in No10, where rule-breaking seriously undermined public confidence.

Today is Carers Rights Day. Across the country people are caring for each other and dealing with tough times.

This isn't just Ed’s story. It's the story of millions, and that's who the Liberal Democrats will continue to fight for.

Cost of living is getting too high! While I've seen plenty of new businesses set up in Winchester since I became an MP, I've also sadly seen some which have had to close down. @libdems.org.uk have the solutions to help - That's why we're proposing an emergency VAT cut for hospitality.

Bang on from @libdemdaisy.bsky.social! It doesn't have to be a choice between taxing middle-income people or cutting services to the bone. We just need the will to take on the richest & most powerful organisations in the country who aren't paying their fair share. @libdems.org.uk will take them on.
We @libdems.org.uk would put £270 back in your pocket, by:

🍻 Cutting VAT for hospitality, attractions and accommodation

💡Slashing household energy bills

We’d fund this through a windfall tax on excess profits made by big banks, rather than higher taxes for struggling families and businesses.

Supporting international health systems does not just save lives overseas; it keeps us safer here at home too. Stronger systems abroad mean fewer outbreaks reaching our shores, more stable trading partners and a healthier global economy.

Congratulations @joshbabarinde.bsky.social on being elected President of @libdems.org.uk!
Newly-elected Lib Dem president @joshbabarinde.bsky.social tells me he'll be "the last line of defence against Reform".

The Eastbourne MP plans to "campaign hard" to offer "solutions of hope and optimism that bring our communities together rather than tear them apart".

It's utterly unacceptable that penguins are kept in a cramped, windowless room at London’s Sea Life Aquarium. Denied fresh air, natural light and the space they need to thrive. I spoke on @lbc.co.uk about how their conditions are a world away from their Antarctic home.

He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.

The resignations of Tim Davie and Deborah Turness must be an opportunity for the BBC to turn a new leaf, rebuild trust and resist those like Nigel Farage who want to destroy it

We must stand up for a strong, independent BBC, to stop Trump’s America becoming Farage's Britain.
