By protecting animals, we protect can people and children.

The law must change.

By failing to identify them early, we miss a vital opportunity to prevent further harm.

That’s why I’m calling for:

1) Mandatory registration on the sex offenders list for people convicted of animal sexual abuse.

2) A lifetime ban on keeping or working with animals for those convicted.

As your MP, I’ll continue to champion this in Parliament because a healthier planet means healthier people, animals and communities here in Winchester and across the country

From the climate crisis to the threat of new pandemics, from polluted rivers to antimicrobial resistance, if we’re serious about tackling the biggest challenges of our time, we can’t look at them in isolation.

Ministers must finally accept that prevention and community support are essential partners to hospital care.

Prevention isn’t an optional extra.

Without joined-up action on housing, education, employment and community support, even the best hospital care cannot succeed.

True mental health care must go beyond medication and therapy.

It means tackling social and financial pressures — and helping people rebuild stability in their lives.

I’ve met too many people failed by a system that treats symptoms but ignores the causes.

No one should be discharged back into the same conditions that made them unwell.
