The only "flaw" in the 3 suitcase plan (which is a schedule issue) is the stays have gotten longer & the bags bigger.

As I am getting more tired, slinging the biggest suitcase in the car took EFFORT.

Why Sexual Content Matters in Young Adult Literature

This is such an important article from @penamerica.bsky.social. It includes a terrific interview with editor @andrewkarre.bsky.social.

Definitely worth a few minutes of your day.

Why Editor Andrew Karre Can’t Imagine YA Literature Without Sexual Content
'If it became impossible to publish YA novels with sex in them, I think it would effectively become impossible to publish YA novels.'

Kid: What’s a good book?

Me: Why not look through this book menu there to get some ideas!

Kid: *Looks for 0.4 secs, gets bored & walks away*

Eventually got him SOMETHING (Wimpy Kid).

AI is now being used to “flag” school library books.
The new CLCD tool, Class-Shelf Plus v3, may speed up censorship under the guise of efficiency.

This development should alarm every librarian and educator. #TLSky #EduSkyAi #libraries #censorship open.substack.com/pub/aischool...

This is far worse than anyone expected.

Trump's HUD plan would cut *two-thirds* of permanent housing and push as many as 170,000 formerly homeless people back onto the street—redirecting funds to work mandates, forced treatment, and encampment sweeps.

All as mass internment camps are being built.
