Someone's screenshot of a two-post twitter thread, from user blue (@bluewmist): the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much. you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.

Well, on the one hand, my most popular HQ fic BY FAR is a Kurodai fic. On the other hand, my most unpopular HQ fic is ALSO a Kurodai fic.

It's not apples to apples though... the popular one is a 60k smut marathon and this one is... horror. I think it's more content than ship;;;

Character reasons... which I guess count as story reasons, haaa. Kiyoko keeps to herself, for the most part, so the distance just shows that... even though she's smiling. She's warming up, in spite of herself.

Also, I didn't want to break her neck to have her looking so far up. 😅

Another set of characters that will show up in A Song in the Dark (daisuga fantasy)! Kiyoko's from a clan of assassins, and Yachi's... Well, she's a succubus, but demons get a bad rap! Her power doesn't work the way everyone thinks they do.
