Housing markets =*local*! Ofc institutional single-family rental (SFR) investors aren't big % nationally, but own large % of (SFRs) in some metros:

e.g., Atlanta: 25% Jacksonville: 22% Charlotte: 18%

& b/c they target certain *parts* of metros, means even larger %s in many parts of these metros.

Of the 22.6 million #families who would end up with less resources under the reconciliation bill, more than half are at or below the #poverty level. New #research shows losses will far outweigh gains for the lowest income families. urbn.is/4l9JXwA

odd #housingadvocacy accomplishment of the month: got personally blocked by Bill Pulte, our nation’s top #housing regulator at FHFA (appointed by 🌮 and who communicates all policy through X…)

“A lot of people are living on the edge, where a #storm happens, and they can lose everything,” @sjccorn.bsky.social said. “This is not just important for #homeowners and families in St. Louis, it's a national problem too.” #stlouistornado
Many people in north St. Louis may have lacked homeowners insurance when storms hit
