very speratic last minute decision to move back up here for a few months. Was having my doubts but I'm happy to be back for the next little bit.

Oh also. The Metro Bike Hub at the airport station is genuinely SO smart. Like if you bike to the train then take it to the airport, or just bike to the airport. It's nice to have a secure parking spot instead of leaving it at a bike rack for a few days. Great for LAX employees as well!

Also! This finally (finally!!) completes the K Line making a North/South Link from Redondo Beach to Crenshaw, I think this makes the K Line significantly more useful even putting the airport link aside. Overall very exciting day, and still a lot more Metro projects to look forward too soon!

While I wouldn't say it's perfect (the terminating C Line Trains are cause confusion, esp among those unfamiliar with the system) I think it does an overall good job. Once the LAX AirTrain opens that will solve most of LAX's issues Landside wise as the shuttles are a mess still.

Wow okay, LAX Metro TC. Honestly very impressed fixes the mess that was Aviation/LAX + City Bus Cntr. Honestly this might be my new favorite station in the system, it's just very pleasant. I really liked the greenery and seating options in the bus plaza in particular, plus REAL Bathrooms.

Wasn't sure what I was going to think of this but honestly I'm really impressed. I think this was really well thought out and a big improvement over City Bus Center + Aviation/LAX. Also accidentally got on the first revenue train to arrive, everyone on there was very excited which was great to see!

The vanity projects the City of Irvine takes on never cease to baffle and bewilder. The Same city attempting to create and expand its own bus service (Since OCTA continues to under serve the city) and expand cycling infrastructure will then turn around and pull shit like this. Absolutely wild.
Yesterday, my friends and I crashed the Great Park (Irvine) celebration by adding some chalk art to draw attention to a current problem lingering in our city. In summary, we need to add ground public transportation routes in an area that completely lacks that infrastructure. We don’t need gondolas.

Though this is the end for free rides for students (such as myself), Students will still receive a 50% discount off standard fare starting July 1st which is in line with the Senior, Disabled, Medicare, and "Mobility-4-All" Discounts currently provided.

Metrolink has announced that the Student Adventure Pass will permanently conclude on June 30th. I'm truly disappointed as this was nothing short of an amazing program encouraging Public Transit among students. Unfortunately, the program's end is not a suprise given the state of transit funding.

people be like "Planes are so boring what am I supposed to do" Like look out the window, take in the Mericle of flight. Genuinely can't understand how people hate flying (fear of flying I can understand) but like you're in a metal tube going 500mph in the freaking sky, what about that is boring??

Bye bye #MetroCard. @mta.info announces sales of the iconic card will end at the end of the year. You can still use what’s left on card you have but then riders must switch to OMNY.

I Think the MTA Version of the GE Genesis has a third rail pick up. So therefore, I don't think they drive into grand central with the Diesel engines running. Not 100% sure tho.

The Trump administration has launched an FBI investigation into a $20 billion grant program for clean energy projects established under the Biden administration. These funds, managed by the EPA, were intended to support climate initiatives, particularly in low-income communities.

For future reference this is how you'd Insert a US Plug into this type of outlet. Looks more confusing than it actually is. Imo this should be more common on Transport vehicles, makes things more accessable to everyone.
