Artwork used internally at DIC Entertainment during the production of the Super Mario World cartoon, replacing Marge Simpson with Mario. According to a former DIC employee, this was made due to an inside joke at the studio, though the exact nature of the joke has been lost.

luckily those are only small parts of the whole experience, and the actual puzzling is excellent

the aesthetic is also immaculate - you can tell it's a classic Miyamoto game just from the vibes alone

well that was a really fun little game

switching between aboveground and underground is a great setup for a puzzle game like this, and the later levels get really tricky

unfortunately the bosses are kinda mid (they're either easy or just annoying) and the bonus stages require crazy precision
