Lawyers are going to keep going to ensure people’s rights are protected — this is the right result.
BREAKING: Judge rules Lindsey Halligan's appointment was not valid, thus, she had no authority to present the James Comey or Letitia James indictments and the indictments are dismissed without prejudice.

Reports of possible ICE raids in churches occurring this holiday season are alarming and incompatible with our Constitution.

We must ensure that faith communities can gather and worship, free from government coercion.

That’s why we’re in court.
The Trump-Vance admin is allegedly planning to conduct ICE raids in houses of worship during the holiday season--it's immoral and unlawful.

This is why we’re suing to block the admin's harmful actions towards sacred spaces, people, and communities.

While the Trump-Vance admin wants to withhold vital information from the public, @democracyforward.org is working in court to force transparency and expose the truth on the Epstein Files.

Thank you, @ms.now, for having me on to discuss why the American people deserve the truth.

Paying your taxes does not forfeit your right to privacy.

Democracy Forward is honored to represent this coalition of brave plaintiffs protecting the privacy of millions of Americans.
UPDATE: Today a federal court blocked the unprecedented efforts by the IRS to share data on millions of taxpayers with ICE.

This is an important win for millions of people, and represents the first injunction against this unlawful data sharing.

Acts of political violence are characteristic of authoritarian regimes and dictatorships – not strong democracies.

Violence of any kind has no place in our society and we must all condemn it. Especially when it comes from the President.

Today is Trans Day of Remembrance. As we remember and honor the lives lost to hateful violence and stigma, we are in court to defend the rights of our trans civil servants—the people who work for all of us and who should be treated w basic dignity and humanity. @democracyforward.org @aclu.org
We’re suing the Trump-Vance admin for banning transgender federal employees from using bathrooms that align with their gender identity.

This discriminatory, illegal policy strips workers of their dignity and, in turn, their ability to best serve the American people.

On Transgender Day of Remembrance, we honor and remember the lives lost to anti-trans violence.

Transgender, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming people deserve to live safe, authentic lives free of violence. We will keep fighting in court for a world where this is a reality for everyone.

The court is clear: No one is above the law. Not a president, nor a governor.

Today’s decision restores the rule of law in Tennessee and sends a powerful message that our servicemembers will not be used as political props.
BREAKING: We just won a court order to block the unlawful National Guard deployment to Memphis.

President Trump’s attempt to militarize our cities and communities is unlawful. We’re grateful that the court upheld the rule of law and protected the American people in Tennessee.

We're grateful that the court intervened to stop the Trump-Vance admin’s unlawful attempt at political extortion and trampling of the First Amendment. In America, there is no king, and we're always happy to give the president an emphatic reminder of what democracy looks like.
BREAKING: We won a court order blocking Pres. Trump’s attempt to stifle First Amendment rights and gain political control over the University of California system.

The President can't force people to think or believe only the way he does. This is a key victory for our clients and the rule of law.
