When oil companies are informed about a US military action before Congress is, that’s an obvious sign that we are living in a oligarchy
'What an Authoritarian Oligarchy Looks Like': Trump Says Oil Execs Tipped Off About Venezuela Attack | Common Dreams
"I can’t begin to tell you how insane this is," said one critic. "He did not inform Congress but he’s saying he informed the oil companies."

When I wrote, as a Trump biographer, that the Nobel Peace Prize was likely a factor in Trump deciding to back a repressive regime in Venezuela rather than its democratically elected government, some assumed I was being hyperbolic.

No—he's that evil. When I call him a monster, it's as a journalist.

Insanity: Sources close to the White House told the Washington Post Trump lost interest in backing Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado to lead the country because she accepted her Nobel Peace Prize rather than demanding it be given to Trump, which was viewed as an “ultimate sin.”

Wiles might have revealed more than she ought to.

Democratic Senators Sheldon Whitehouse and Dick Durbin are demanding answers about a particular detail that came out of the article: Wiles’s apparent familiarity with the contents of the Epstein files. trib.al/v1RGc22

Vance comes down against “purity tests”—i.e., against criticizing the neo-Nazis. He’s happy to have them as part of his coalition.
JD Vance: "When I say that I'm going to fight alongside of you, I mean all of you — each and every one. President Trump did not build the greatest coalition in politics by running his supporters through endless, self-defeating purity tests."

🤡There's never been a time in US history where people expect you to apologize *for being white*. People expect you to apologize*for being pro-racism*.

Worldwide, fewer than half of all white people are pro-racism.♥️

In the US it takes an active disinfo campaign to keep the pro-racism group > 50%.

Rob Reiner was an acclaimed actor & director but he was also a vocal critic of Trump

He warned the American public that they only had a year to save their democracy

That year is almost up

Honour his legacy by fighting fascism. Fight for democracy. Fight for what’s right. Fight against tyranny.

📌That's a damn fine job in TN-07, and just the latest example of why Democrats need to compete EVERYWHERE.

📌Fully 100 current Republicans seats were less pro-Trump than TN-07 in last year's elections. If we hit these bastards where they are, it will be a bloodbath for the repulsive GOP next year.
