Unfortunately, the spotted garden eel.
With regret, the lark. My apologies,
the dark bleating of winter, the vice-like
grip of my heart. How language deserts
me, its most faithful engineer, its very best
silly sod. There is altogether too much
of everything. The light is only pretending
to get out of bed. Where is my soup
and hibernation? Why am I expected to be?
I have become a dormouse. Undisturbed
until spring.

okay, THAT'S WHY it's so terrible !!!! the cold water shooting directly at ur sensitive teeth and soft gums is like eating one million sweets or gargling with ice cold water. u have to use warm water- not hot, but not room temperature either

can confirm my particularly hideous experience was down to user error- i still can't quite tell if it's as effective as just flossing, but it IS faster than flossing, so there's trade-offs... worth getting a cheap one and trying!!

anyway, tried warm water tonight and it was Much Better...... still vaguely unpleasant as somebody who hates to feel messy/wet/sticky/etc, but it didn't assault every nerve ending in my mouth this time at least...... what more can u hope for, really
