REVEALED: Willow trees on Dartmoor common owned by Prince William deliberately poisoned with herbicide

This is an outrageous act of sabotage. Dartmoor’s commons are virtually treeless already, due to centuries of overgrazing by sheep. The culprit must be found:

Exclusive: Farmers and landowners fear Defra is putting its flagship Landscape Recovery schemes at risk.

While the large-scale projects are intended to last 20-30 years, the government could pull the plug at any time with a year’s notice.

There are some people who seem to see the recovery of ecosystems in a deforested waste as a personal affront. It's about power, and different landscapes reflect the different ways in which power is distributed - or concentrated.

You’ve seen the signs: ‘Trespassers Will Be Prosecuted’. They lie. In the UK ‘trespass’ is a civil offence, not a criminal one. You cannot face prosecution simply for being on someone’s land, off a designated Right of Way, open access land, or land where bylaws permit access, without permission.

Looks like the long-awaited Environmental Improvement Plan will finally be published on Mon 1st Dec.

The EIP sets out what Govt will do to meet Environment Act targets. The last EIP in 2023 was subject to legal challenge as it failed to show how these targets would be met. Hope this one's better!

Just yesterday, when covering a story regarding sugar in milkshake drinks, the BBC platformed the Institute of Economic Affairs, unsurprisingly without asking who funds them.

It's absolutely woeful journalism.

Given that the BBC endlessly gives platforms to lobbyists from the dark money junktanks without revealing their interests, shouldn't we be seeing such apologies every day?

Better still, how about not doing it? If they want to appear, we should know on whose behalf they are speaking.
