I braved the toxic sewage spill waters of NextDoor to hype our nearest NoKings event and now I'm ducking offline because I need to sleep and not perseverate on whatever horrific Karen responses I'm going to get there. Sufficient unto the day are the evils thereof, etc. etc.

Right??? And the kicker is that Spice#1 and I had been PSYCHED for Highlander 2. We loved the original, we couldn't wait and then we got.... THAT. To this day the worst thing I have ever paid money to see.

On a flight to Seattle in May to help take care of my mother who was in the hospital in Bothell, I very very nearly picked a fight with a clear wannabe Nazi on my flight. Didn't, but really wanted to. Would it have helped? No. But I wanted to fight SOMETHING.

Yes/and...increasingly local/state police/sheriff bodies don't feel like they have to answer to civilian political authority. I'm thinking of the LASD here in SoCal as exhibit A of that, esp. under Alex Villaneuva. The county supervisors couldn't keep him and his thugs from doing squat.

Watching the Brewers/Cubs game mostly to see who the Dodgers will end up facing. But mildly rooting for the Brewers. It occurs to me that if the Cubs win though, ICE is probably going to target the games in Chicago.
