Almost 400 workers at Blizzard’s Platform and Technology department have voted to unionise.

They join several preceding unions, including Activision QA workers, Activision user research workers, as well as the World of Warcraft, Overwatch, and Diablo teams.

we live in the clip farming economy for pvp games bc marketing elsewhere is dead. in games like apex legends, it has (in my experience) absolutely decimated any opportunity for thoughtful play. everyone wants to be the next Sweetdreams, nicewigg, etc and treats lobbies as harvesting grounds for that
I don't wanna be pessimistic but it kinda feels like the direction its being pulled in feels ripe for slapping a bunch of GAAS revolving door purchases.

And also the prox-chat being to get publicity from twitch clips or whatever, like someone said in Nats' replies.

"I can still hear the falcon's cry. Do you?"

What a way to bring everyone together!! And boy does it feel kinda nostalgic to get lost in some fanart for a brand new episode...

Played some Codenames last night. Still great, even with two people. We were...not in sync.
Sounds great enjoy! Sort of the same for me - just with Aldi, Costa and Sainsbury's thrown in somewhere.

Hi! It's my birthday and I'd really appreciate it if you share what I do!

I mostly do book reviews, I love fantasy, and I'm really lucky to beta read and read ARCs too! Here's my favourite review I wrote this year: www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

I also draw sometimes but I have mostly WIPs 😂
Wahoo! Happy weekend.
Haha!

It was..fine? Friends and family members have been sending their ratings and rankings of individual songs. Neither required or requested 😅.
Got the new Google Pixel 10 Pro XL and it is, as predicted, pretty much the same as my Google Pixel 8 Pro but with some more unnecessary AI stuff sprinkled in.
Does anyone want this? Just let things end...
A ‘PEAKY BLINDERS’ sequel series is in the works at Netflix & BBC.

• Greenlit for 2 seasons with 6 episodes each

• Follows a new generation of Shelbys in 1953 during Birmingham’s reconstruction after World War 2

• Cillian Murphy will exec produce
I have no clue what's going on with them.

And it sucks as a Playstation owner as it's likely Sony will only become more and more complacent while Microsoft do...whatever it is they're doing and shed whatever is left of their goodwill.
Yeah I think because I had Mistborn as a comparison I could tell that Elantris was a little rougher, but it didn’t really hurt my enjoyment. I really liked the setup and the mystery around the city, and the ongoing wounds/pain was harrowing!

Definitely looking forward to reading more of his work.
I really liked it. It kind of feels like one that will sit with me for a while and I'll like it more and more with each re-read.

Loved the setting and the world building. It was definitely a slow burn (which I don't mind) but then it did feel like it kind of rushed to an ending in the final third.
