Esmé, you will not come with me into the new year. But earlier today I heard—clear as a bell—your bark. I was not asleep. Thank you for visiting me. I love you forever.

Know that Discord is not safer for survivors. I blocked an abuser on that site and they can still read all of my posts even after I blocked them. Discord needs to do far, far better.

“we care about safety”

meanwhile, you block ppl who enacted DV and accelerated and caused untimely demise of your ESA dog companion and they can still see your posts in a shared server.

predatory men will make predatory tech. rinse, repeat.
Discord will require a face scan or ID for full access next month - all accounts set to "teen-appropriate experience" by default www.theverge.com/tech/875309/...

children are an oppressed class. Operation Babylift. Internment. Sixties Scoop. Indigenous boarding schools from 1776 on.

detention of immigrant or Indigenous children has been happening under Biden, Obama, Clinton. Lincoln. Washington. Jefferson. the policy is child torture. it is law.

weep. act.
The 5-year-old arrested by ICE In Minnesota is detained at Dilley. We reported on conditions there in the below article.

Parents said the food was contaminated with mold and worms & that children were so under so much stress that they were hitting their own faces & wetting themselves.
Analysis by The Marshall Project of ICE data obtained by the Deportation Data Project found that the Trump administration’s revival of family detention has swept thousands of children into ICE custody. At least 3,800 children under 18, including 20 infants, have been booked since Trump took office.

i'm homeless and need to drive 200 miles roundtrip to pick up an RX at the nearest Costco to me.

i don't have health insurance and the Costco membership pays for itself with the pharmacy costs. a generic of the same medication at Walgreens is $1 a pill. a 90-day supply at Costco is ~$20.

hatred of unhoused people is genuinely a pipeline to fascism. if the wealthy can get you to dehumanize your own neighbors, then they can get you to do it to anyone.

these abusers—whose DV i fled in mid-Nov weeks before Esmé the ESA dog's untimely death due to their abuse—offered a couch. i initially declined.

before i arrived, they asked me if:
* Esmé had fleas
* i was an alcoholic

the violence and assumptions of yt owning class people.
This is the screaming from the abuser Karen Traite that exacerbated the heart failure of my medically fragile ESA dog, whom they knew had a grade 4 heart murmur and heart disease before we began staying with them (Joe Levy; Karen Traite)

when someone—human or nonhuman—dies, one of the worst parts is the missing. missing the ability to make new memories with them.

may all who grieve be comforted. may all who suffer transform it into creation and connection. may all things be protected and safe.

moreover, ICE must be destroyed
