Please use a dictionary instead of google. I know it's easy to just wang everything into google as a first step, but you will get better results if you use the correct tool for the job. And you'll wean yourself off of relying on google for everything, which is a bonus

Lastly, context is a big help. Even in a supposedly contextless quiz, I was able to go "oh I recognise that watermark, you literally just showed me art from this person" and "I bet this is another etsy listing one".
Outside a quiz, you can probably make an educated guess without seeing the image!

There were a few ones with "weird patches". Don't know how else to describe em. Dead giveaway but hard to explain.

A lot of the slop I see day-to-day is masquerading as digital anime art. That makes me instantly suspicious of digital art of a certain style now. Unfortunate

Watermarks and text were most helpful! That looks like an artist signature with 2009, because it is. But that reg looks like sloptext, because it is!

Also, artifacts like hair in your necklace or glass in a glass were dead giveaways.

I got better towards the middle, once I recognised how they set up the quiz. To the point where I started calling the explanation they'd give exactly. Was pretty funny on the K.P. one.

I caught myself justifying mistakes as "well, I don't like the look of it anyway". The airbnb, ew.

I spent a lot of time looking carefully. It's fucking tiring! Which is my excuse for why my mistakes started to increase towards the end.

Most of my mistakes were doubting digital art or photoshop. Reinforces that a slopflood making people doubt everything they see is a big issue!
