This black and white image shows Grey's Monument towering over the other buildings and people at the head of Grainger Street and Grey Street on a bright but cloudy October day in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Grey's Monument is a Grade I listed stone monument built in 1838 to honour Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey, who served as Prime Minister and passed the Great Reform Act of 1832. It has a total height of 133 ft (41 m). It was funded via public subscription and consists of a statue of Earl Grey on a pedestal standing on top of a Roman Doric column. The column was designed by local architect, Benjamin Green, and the statue was created by the sculptor, Edward Hodges Baily.

Behind the sculpture are high-rise buildings, the most prominent one is mostly yellow and is built to look like it's leaning. This Pop Art sculpture was created by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen in 1999 and is located at City Center in Los Vegas, Nevada.
