my work takes a line like this but it's 'you can't connect to port 22 because ssh is dangerous, you should do it from a different machine (vm in cloud)' insanity... you can just run ssh on port 80 if you want...

one of my least favourite parts of CI pipelines is that it's really hard to reason about the state of the filesystem post-hoc so you end up guessing where certain locations are relative to the step you run them in

fun thing with the office scanner is that if you save it as a pdf even if you tick all the boxes that say 'photo scan' it will do some weird sharpening to any text on the document. had to save it as text. apparently you can save as an excel speadsheet too which i'm excited to try.
