think headphones at exhbitions are always a bit of a weak concession to the idea that 'sound art' _can_ be reduced to something that is sort of convenient and out-of-the-way. always appreciate sound art that affects other pieces in installations etc.

The Carroll / Stillabower / Windsor trio has some odd electronics and mouth noises that often find the middle of their Venn diagram. It's easy to mistake one for the other! Reed organ fills the gaps at first, which heightens their presence during the instrument's absence. It's a good strange time.

Something about the narrative that certain (British mostly) bands ended up as the #1 selling in their scene / genre and go on to talk about how they're were 'the precursor to' a lot of other music seems really sinister to me.
