It’s really funny to me that the tweet screen shotted here to do a Trump moral panic is from a dude Mr. Sulu would probably consider a young man saying “this is gross.”

I hate to think what boys and young men are learning from watching such behavior and how it makes girls and young women. Parents need to teach that this is not acceptable.

It is tacky for really famous people to be in TV commercials for products. Their gambling debts/boat repairs are not my problem, those roles should belong to actors like the Time To Make The Donuts guy and the actress who said "who are you calling a cootie queen you lint licker" in that Orbit ad.

Doesn’t really matter if you, the journalist, can’t find a way to contact the company- an attorney has more means to do so, and at worst can send a subpoena to meta for the contact information of the account.

It might have been a good idea to actually contact a lawyer for a piece, like this because the recourse is you send a C&D and file a suit against the people who run the account for defamation, and false light, which is somehow not mentioned in the story…

This is the thing I go back to when people talk about our senior MNT being a “golden generation.”

It’s not. Our MNT always relied on dawgs that were going to be good no matter what system they came through & dual nats from soccer countries.

Now we have those guys + guys coming through academies.

Does making the U-20 QFs once matter? Not really! And even our excellent run from 2003-2007 wasn't as good as it looked b/c so much of it revolved around one exceptionally dominant youth level talent (Adu).

This is legit 5 separate cohorts who've gotten there. It's structural now.

This and giving MLS/NWSL/Club STHs in host markets first crack at WC tickets seem like big no-brainers on using the WC to drive attention to the domestic leagues (which should be a key goal of hosting the WC in a place like the U.S.).

Pritzker/Newsom see it as a defining fact of the moment that Trump is consolidating authoritarian power daily and using it to subjugate Blue America like an enemy nation within. Other Dems should stop the Beltway-speak about Trump laying "traps" for them and engage.

“Price of eggs” voters have always cared more about the “crisis at the border” and “crime taking over our inner cities” than the actual price of eggs, and only care about the price of eggs when someone from the opposing party is in control.

I think you are right, but I also think the post you’re replying to gives too much credit to most Trump voters who will always put their racism, (and being mad about people calling them racist) over any cogent economic political position.
