@freiheit I think it was something really absurd like netcat that I found installed as a snap once and didn't even have the ability to access all the network resources it needed.

The other bullshit thing #ubuntu is doing is preferentially installing snap packages when you use their GUI package […]

#linux distros: either use snapd for ALL your packaging or use snapd for NONE of your packaging. I'm surely not the only user who is sick and fucking tired of having to figure out whether the problem is with the snap package versus the distro package (deb, rpm etc).
